The Space:
This gorgeous lakefront home near Florence has all the comforts of home, a dog-friendly attitude, a private hot tub, easy access to the area's attractions, and even a private dock on the lake. What a wonderful opportunity to take a relaxing trip to the coast!
Located four miles south of Florence, right on the lovely Woahink Lake, this charming A-frame home is nestled in a serene space with a picturesque trail leading up to it - a perfect setting to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. With beach access available a few miles up the road at South Jetty, Honeyman Park and its picnic areas just across the road, and the sand dunes also a short drive away, you will have plenty of amazing activities here! Plus, the friendly town of Florence is a quick five-minute drive away, so you can easily head into the city for a nice restaurant meal, a game of golf, some souvenir shopping, or a fun evening at the casino.
With two bedrooms (plus a loft) and two bathrooms, this home can easily accommodate six guests, and you're also welcome to bring your dogs with you, though please note that a small nightly fee applies. The main level of this home, the middle floor, features enormous windows that allow views of the lake, as well as a cozy sitting room and a full kitchen and dining area. Around the home you will have entertainment options including a TV with a selection of VHS movies to watch, board games, and even a game room downstairs with a foosball table. Please note that both the loft sleeping area and the kids' play den in the basement are accessed via a spiral staircase, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or very young children.
If you head upstairs to the loft above the living room, you will find a sleeping area with a queen-size bed. The main level features two bedrooms, each with its own lovely queen-size bed where guests will sleep soundly. This home offers two full bathrooms, both with a shower (no tub) and a laundry area, which will come in handy after a few days of playing in the lake and out on the sand dunes.
Walk outside to the large deck to find a wonderful space with seating where you can relax and enjoy the views and the fresh air. Take a soak in the hot tub to enjoy the early morning sky. This home has its own dock on the lake (a public boat launch is available just up the road), so you can bring along your own kayaks or boats, or simply jump into the refreshing waters of Woahink Lake and swim around.
Because this area offers so many fantastic outdoor activities, including fishing, boating, hiking, riding ATVs on the dunes, walking on the beach, and much more, this is a great place to visit and take advantage of all the opportunities. Could be a lot cleaner, there was trash under the couch ( little one crawling around found it) the house needs some updates, flooring is a little funky and there is some mold throughout the house. The pictures make it look a lot better but for the price it was kind of expected. It was nice having the dock and the hot tub. It really needs a deep clean, some of the dishes (cookware) also were in the cabinet with mold on them which is pretty gross. And the place smells like mildew BUT you're on the coast so I guess that's kind of expected but it's a turn off for a lot of people. Not ADA friendly, driveway is extremely narrow and the front door isn't easily accessible for someone that might have limited mobility. Not to mention we had to take a full trash can up 150 yard driveway uphill the day we checked in, might just be me but if the cleaning crew were already there, they should have done it. Also nearly all of the outlets need replaced, our chargers wouldn't stay in most of the outlets. This property has a lot of potential but it needs some help. We enjoyed our stay but this is what we noticed.

This was a fantastic retreat to the lake over a busy holiday weekend. The neighborhood was quiet, and the house secluded with a gorgeous view of the lake. The hot tub and private dock allowed for lots of entertainment, as well as a game room for the kids in the basement.
