The Neighborhood:

Tenby is a popular tourist destination on the stunningly gorgeous "Welsh Riviera" and is often referred to as "The Jewel in the Crown" in Wales. Tenby is located in the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which stretches for 186 miles down the south-western coast of Wales. The county of Pembrokeshire is one of the sunniest in the United Kingdom, and the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream. This picturesque village is surrounded by ancient walls and has winding, cobblestone alleys lined with unique stores, an indoor market selling locally sourced goods, cosy tea houses, and tantalising eateries. A world-renowned triathlon takes place in Tenby in the middle of September, but the competitors don't have time to enjoy the nearly three miles of beautiful, Blue Flag-awarded beaches or the native flora and fauna along the coastal pathways. Caldey Island is a must-see if you're in the area, and the best way to get there is by boat, where you can also see seals and puffins. Visit the surrounding resort towns of Saundersfoot and Manobier, or check out the spectacular Tudor Merchant's House. Folly Farm has everything from vintage fairground rides to local and exotic animals, while Oakwood Theme Park is perfect for kids and teenagers looking for a day of nonstop excitement. An ideal spot for a relaxing and exciting vacation.
