A stay with a sense of place, and what stayed with me was its character. The art feels integral to the house, giving the spaces warmth, texture and a personality of their own. There is something intimate about staying somewhere that reflects an individual eye and a love of beautiful things. For me, it complemented the experience of Johannesburg—richness rewards curiosity. A42 House offered a welcoming place to pause and absorb those impressions, with Parktown North as a lovely setting. A memorable stay, and somewhere I would be delighted to return to.

Très bon accueil, hôte attentive, chaleureuse et de bons conseils pour les visites. Le concept gallerie d’art et guest House est novateur et intéressant. Petit déjeuner de qualité. Quartier sécure et bien placé pour découvrir la ville.
Petit bémol concernant l’équipement moyennement adapté par temps frais/froid (6-10 degrés).

We absolutely loved our stay here - our room was gorgeous with art everywhere and the museum itself is worth a visit alone. So interesting! Can’t wait to stay again in the summer!
