The Neighborhood:

Located in rural Lancashire between Blackpool and the historic hilltop city of Lancaster, Stake Pool (or Stakepool) is a little hamlet with a different name. Stake Pool is in a great spot, between the Forest of Bowland AONB and other popular tourist destinations including the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Small though it may be, the hamlet has all the amenities one could need, including a grocery store for stocking up on essentials and the Elletson Arms, a village pub with a wide selection of drinks and tasty pub food for those lazy days when you just don't feel like cooking. You can easily reach the seaside to enjoy a day basking in the sun on Fleetwood Beach, and families will love checking out all the fun things to do on Blackpool's boardwalk. Those feeling daring can challenge themselves on the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, climb to the top of Blackpool tower for a bird's-eye view of the coast, or ride the Big Dipper, a wooden roller coaster that has been operating since 1923. The seaside is home to the SEA LIFE aquarium and the world-famous wax museum Madame Tussauds, which features many well-known people. You may also go the other way, to Lancaster, and learn more about the area's past at Lancaster Castle and the municipal museum. Stake Pool is a great hub from which to discover the Northwest.
