Hemera Suite is a beautifully crafted retreat nestled within the cliffside village of Vothonas, part of a charming complex of whitewashed houses carved directly into the volcanic rock of Santorini. This recently reconstructed property has transformed what was once a traditional “patitiri,” where grapes were once pressed for winemaking, into a sanctuary of understated luxury. Retaining the mystique of its history, the architecture pays homage to the iconic cave dwellings of the island, balancing raw volcanic stone with the softness of Cycladic whitewashed walls and earthy, natural tones. The result is a space that feels authentic, minimalistic, and distinctively refined, creating a rare haven for those seeking both comfort and character.

The Hemera Suite features two elegantly designed bedrooms with double beds, complemented by two stylish bathrooms complete with showers, premium toiletries, and soft linens. The spacious living area is designed with a bohemian-chic sensibility, where neutral palettes and handcrafted furnishings bring a calm, organic atmosphere. Guests can enjoy modern comforts such as air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, coffee and tea facilities, and soundproofed interiors, all while maintaining the quiet simplicity of Santorini’s traditional cave homes. A highlight of this suite is the private outdoor terrace where you can bask in the warmth of the Mediterranean sun, indulge in moments of tranquillity in your private hot tub, and raise a glass to the sunset with views of Vothonas village, one of Santorini’s last untouched treasures.

The size of the suite is 64 square metres, offering ample room for relaxation while still maintaining the intimacy that defines the cave-house experience. Guests will find thoughtful touches throughout, from hypoallergenic materials to carefully chosen furnishings, designed to heighten both comfort and style.

Please note that there is no reception on site, and a seamless self-check-in process is provided. Guests are encouraged to contact the team in advance to arrange assistance if required. Dedicated staff are available to support your stay, ensuring that your needs are met promptly. A security deposit may be requested upon arrival to cover potential damages, and additional services such as transfers, tours, or experiences can be arranged at an extra cost upon request.

The Hemera Suite offers not only a place to stay but a chance to connect with Santorini’s history and beauty, blending natural authenticity with discreet luxury in one of the island’s most atmospheric settings.
