I spent five days at Pink Shell in September, and I had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are very well maintained, spotlessly clean and equipped with every comfort. The location is really convenient, as several very interesting attractions can be reached with just a short drive. Porto is about 40 minutes away, while the stunning Nazaré can be reached in around 1.5 hours. The Geopark with its famous “birthing stones”, Aveiro, known as the Portuguese Venice, Praia da Barra and Costa Nova, a very picturesque town with its colourful fishermen’s houses, are all less than 30 minutes away. The owners, Sacha and Carlos, are extremely welcoming and always happy to offer excellent advice on how to spend your days, suggesting itineraries tailored to different interests and needs. Their language skills are also impressive, which makes communicating with them incredibly easy. And the warm welcome from Shelly, the adorable little dog of the house, is undoubtedly the perfect way to start your holiday! I definitely recommend having breakfast at the property. The homemade jams, made with fruit from the garden, are absolutely delicious and, if you’re lucky, you may even get to taste one of Sacha’s excellent homemade fruit tarts. I will definitely be back. I managed to see and experience so much in just five days, but I’m already looking forward to returning and discovering all the other wonderful places this beautiful area still has to offer.

Very clean. Excellent linen and very comfortable bed. Loved the hosts, very welcoming and kind. We requested breakfast which was also possible. Very good stay.
