iles de pins is a good location in PG - quiet and close to a stop for the resident boat HOWEVER the house unfortunately only has a north facing terrace and no courtyard in front of the entrance. This means that in September, you only have sun on your sitting area from 7-1130am.

Unlike so many other houses in PG, it has not benefited from renovation and that means that everything from the kitchen with its 30 year old appliances to the sockets in the house to the rickety bench on the terrace side are sub standard. The biggest issue though was that when we had a problem with the oven that instead of assessing it professionally that the letting agent sent ‘a friend’ vs an electrician or gas engineer along. Despite providing a video that having taken off the safety tray to get to the gas pilot which was only lighting up 50% of the ring, the letting agent then said that there was nothing wrong with it and that our concerns on regulations and danger were unfounded! As a result, we decided that the best course of action was not to use the oven for our stay rather than get into a debate on our holiday. Happy to provide video for anyone interested.
