Madison - Shared apartment

The location is excellent, as it is very close to the subway, including one of the main stations. It is also close to several spots that can be reached on foot. However, despite being centrally located, it isn’t too noisy—within what you’d expect for the city—and at least for us, it wasn’t hard to fall asleep (and we are not used to noise). It features two guest rooms, a fully equipped shared kitchen, and a spacious bathroom. The host provided several complimentary items for cooking and personal hygiene. It also has air conditioning units and radiators. Communication was good, and the self-check-in and check-out systems work well. There are grocery stores nearby. Including a 24 hs market just across the street.

not a negative thing, but something to keep in mind: access is via stairs to the first floor. The room is spacious enough, which I think is typical or even above average for the city.

La posizione è il punto forte di questa casa. 10 minuti da Penn Station e Moynhian Train Hall (che è la stazione dove arriva il LIRR direttamente da Jamaica Station). Il quartiere è tranquillo e ricco di servizi. Supermercato di fronte, stazione di polizia e a 10 minuti dal centro commerciale che collega con The Vessel e la High Line. Per l’appartamento è grande, ha un grande living e cucina attrezzata. Molto apprezzata la presenza di caffè e brocca per l’acqua filtrata lasciateci dall’host e anche tutti i prodotti e strumenti per la pulizia (aspirapolvere, swiffer etc). Il bagno ha una finestra, cosa da non dare per scontata. La nostra camera era quella più grande delle due per come abbiamo avuto modo di vedere. Dotata di aria condizionata, un ventilatore, una grande scrivania come unico piano d’appoggio oltre a un solo comodino, diversi attaccapanni e una rella appendiabiti. Molto apprezzato il barattolo di tappi per orecchie, perché affacciando su strada il traffico potrebbe dare fastidio. Le aperture elettroniche di tutte le porte eccezionali anche a distanza così da essere sempre certi che l’appartamento rimanga chiuso. In linea generale molto apprezzato.

Miglioramenti se ne possono apportare senza dubbio. In bagno mancano dei piano d’appoggio che farebbero decisamente comodo. La vasca effettivamente è un po’ scivolosa, ma nulla che non si risolva facendo la doccia con le ciabatte. Sebbene l’indirizzo venga mandato in privato dall’host, aggiornerei la localizzazione qui su Booking.

Great stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the location was convenient, and everything went smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

One suggestion would be to include the door code in the check-in instructions. I once left without my phone and couldn’t get back in, but thankfully the neighboring guests helped me figure out the code based on theirs. Overall, a very good stay!
