Birds & Oaks - Luxury Boutique Hotel, Ramgarh

We recently stayed at the new Birds & Oaks - Luxury Boutique Hotel, Ramgarh, nestled right in the heart of a peaceful, forest-like setting. The location is incredibly calm and lets you fully immerse yourself in nature. Right from the start, Dushyant coordinated our booking over the phone and shared great details about the property, which really helped us enjoy the place to the fullest. The absolute highlight for me was the gorgeous colonial-style interiors. Every corner is beautifully designed and decorated with immense taste. They have a unique concept of no TVs in the guest rooms, which turned out to be an unexpected but highly refreshing digital detox for our family. Instead, we loved spending time in the cozy common lounge equipped with a TV and activities. The culinary experience was exceptional. The chef prepared amazing food, including some local delicacies that gave us an absolute experience of the cultural food taste in a delicious, home-cooked style. Travelling with a toddler can be challenging, but the staff made it seamless. Special thanks to the manager, Bhanu, for being so courteous, and to Sooraj, who serviced us most of the time—he was exceptionally polite, understanding, and attentive to our needs.

• Location & Accessibility: The property is quite far off from the local market and vendors. You cannot expect any outside deliveries here. If you need anything personal, it requires a long drive to the nearest market. Even the hotel staff cannot run errands for you as they are limited in number. • Kitchen Stocking: Since we paid for a 5-star equivalent experience, we expected a typical premium hotel breakfast spread with a wide variety of standard items and fruits. The kitchen isn't always fully stocked, so meals are prepared based on item availability. That said, the chef is amazing and the quality of whatever they make is excellent—they just need to stock up on essentials better. • Service Pace: When the property gets fully occupied with more guests, service can get noticeably slower due to the limited staff size. • Forest Elements: Being right inside a forest, you should naturally expect typical outdoor issues like moisture, dampness, and insects.
