Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a great vacation and stay at The Salty Dog. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Loved the decks and the easy access to the beach. Some furnishings in the back bedrooms were a bit dated, but the living areas were so modernized we didn't care. The second floor living room and master bedroom views are STUNNING. Drinking coffee on the deck each morning was a highlight.My only issues were check in information from Garden City Realty and an ongoing ant problem we had with the house. Upon check in, there were not instructions for the house on how to use the TVs, functionality of the house (ice maker was broken so use the tabletop ice maker),or even the wifi password. We checked in late on Saturday night and attempted to get the Wifi password for over 48 hours. When the realty company reopened on Monday they were able to get it to us, but it was a bummer no one was available all day on Sunday for those who checked in past 5PM on Saturday.There is definitely a big ant problem in the house. I had read past reviews that this was happening and thought it would be remedied by the time we got there. Upon check in we noticed a trail of them throughout the first floor and the realty company did send maintenance and they sprayed again, but by the end of the week they were back with vengeance. It was so bad at one point they got into the engine of our car from falling from the floorboards above and were starting to get into the interior when we were driving home. We had to get our car interiors completely cleaned to ensure they didn't come to our house. The entire week we had to be super careful not to leave any food out and to clean things up quickly.Maintenance was lovely - so kind and helpful. Overall was a great stay, even with the ants. If they could get that dealt with would be much more comfortable overall and a 5 star review.

Located close to the pier and a short drive to the marshwalk, this was a great spot on the beach. The kitchen was the best stocked rental we’ve stayed at, and the house was clean and newly renovated. There was a small ant problem and they sent pest control the next day. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the two living spaces, along with the large deck and plenty of furniture. We look forward to booking this home again and appreciate that this property came so well stocked! The only thing that would make this home better is a vacuum to maintain cleanliness throughout the week!
