Excellent communication from host family. Relaxed attitude. You are sharing the family’s bathroom and downstairs toilet. Reminded me of old school French exchange experience (in a good way)
Pet dog - friendly and relaxed, but not so good if you don’t like dogs

Very friendly hosts, soft drinks and chocolate on arrival. Willing to help, allowed us the freedom of their personal space.
Nothing, although we found it difficult to find because it wasn’t signed posted.
