O tym ten wynajem wakacyjny
At the heart of the cottage is a welcoming kitchen centred around a traditional Aga. The kitchen also includes a fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Beyond it, the comfortable living room has a wood-burning stove, with logs, kindling and firelighters provided for your stay.
The five bedrooms are arranged across the ground and first floors. On the ground floor, one bedroom can be prepared as either a king-size bed or two singles, with a shower room next door.
On the first floor, a twin bedroom and a super-king bedroom sit on either side of a shared shower room at the top of the main stairs.
A separate staircase from the kitchen leads to two further bedrooms: a characterful room with traditional built-in beds - one single and one queen-size - for up to two guests, and a second super-king bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
There are three shower rooms in total. Each has a walk-in shower, toilet and basin: one is on the ground floor, one is shared between two upstairs bedrooms and one is en suite.
Outside, guests have a covered seating area, a coal barbecue and a private walled garden planted with fruit trees, fruit bushes and roses. Coal is provided for the barbecue. Please be aware that a stream runs through the rear garden, so young children should be supervised.
Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage. There is gravel parking for up to four vehicles, including space for a larger vehicle or minibus. Secure storage for bicycles or sporting equipment can be arranged on request. A travel cot and high chair are also available.
Up to two cats or dogs are welcome at a charge of £50 per pet, per stay. Pets must be kept under control and must not be left unattended or allowed on the furniture. Guests bringing cats should provide their own litter and litter tray. Guests are responsible for clearing up after their pets. Dogs must be kept under particularly close control when livestock is grazing on neighbouring land.
The cottage has a ground-floor bedroom and shower room, but access is not step-free. There is a step at the main entrance, and the shower room is not designed for wheelchair use.
Moy Cottage is a non-smoking property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the cottage or in the surrounding grounds.
Bed linen, towels, tea towels, hand soap, basic cleaning materials and dishwasher tablets are provided. Cooking oils, condiments and other opened food products are not left in the cottage, so guests should bring their own.
Morrisons and Asda deliver to Moy. By prior arrangement, grocery deliveries can be accepted before arrival and unpacked into the fridge and freezer.
The surrounding area offers everything from gentle woodland walks to serious mountain days. Nearby Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve stretches from the shore of Loch Laggan through regenerating woodland to a high mountain plateau and dramatic ice-carved corries. Visitors can enjoy accessible lower-level trails, wildlife watching and the four-hour return walk to Coire Ardair, as well as three Munro summits. Golden eagles, red deer, ptarmigan, mountain hares and black grouse may all be seen within the reserve.
Cairngorms National Park begins approximately seven miles away, towards the eastern end of Loch Laggan. Home to the Cairngorm mountain range, the UK's largest national park supports one quarter of the country's rare and endangered species.
Days out extend in both directions. To the east lie Dalwhinnie, the Cairngorms and the distilleries and golf courses of Speyside. To the west are Fort William, Nevis Range and the coast. The Commando Memorial, Nevis Range Mountain Experience and Inverlochy Castle are all approximately 30–40 minutes away by car.
Harry Potter fans can take the famous Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig, crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct on one of Britain's great railway journeys. Tulloch station, approximately 20 minutes from the cottage, lies on the wider West Highland Line and is also served by the Caledonian Sleeper.
The cottage is reached through an electronic gate and along a private road. Guests receive the gate code, detailed directions and arrival information before their stay.
Inverness is the nearest airport; Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are each approximately two and three-quarter hours away by car.
There is no fixed changeover day. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be requested in advance, subject to availability. The normal minimum stay is three nights.
