The popular town of Keswick is only 5 miles away and has plenty on offer including museums, a theatre on the lake, local shops and a fantastic variety of places to eat out. Derwentwater is a must-see, set in the amazing scenery, and has a choice of ways to head out on the lake, from boat tours or hiring your own rowing boat. For the adrenaline junkies in your party, why not try Go Ape? Younger members of the family might like to visit the local alpaca centre which has some fabulous walks.
