The village of Aritzo is a small town with a population of 1,500, situated at the foot of Gennargentu (Sardinia’s highest mountain). It is in the center of Sardinia, and from here it is easy to reach the most beautiful beaches on day trips: the east coast (Arbatax, Tortolì, Orosei, etc.), the west coast (Oristano, Cabras, etc.), and the south coast (Cagliari, etc.) are all reachable in about 90 minutes by car via fairly good roads.
