Good location and good house!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Thistle, mostly because of the location. Being directly across from the beach made it incredibly convenient, and the outdoor spaces are one of the best features of the house. There were, however, significant issues that future guests should consider- especially when traveling with young children. The listing states that there are three bathtubs, but two of the tubs (outside of the master), could not be used for bathing children as the plug did not function. The A/C also struggled to keep the two larger rooms on the right side of the house cool. Those bedrooms remained constantly warm, even overnight.. In the evenings the temperature was around 80 degrees. The very back room with a small dining table as well as the elevator, do not have A/C. In the afternoons, both were sweltering and unusable. Another surprise was the community pool policy. We were not aware that swim diapers are not allowed in the main pool. Since the pool is not located close to the home (you have to drive 1-2 miles), this would have been good to know with two babies in tow. We communicated these issues with management after our stay as we knew both weren't problems that could be realistically fixed during our stay. We received a 76 credit on and 4000 stay. Overall this home is a great location and would be a good option for adults or families with older children.
