The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monuments (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.Public transport: SBB train from Ziegelbrücke to Schwanden/Glarus Süd, change there and take the bus to Elm village (24 minutes), 3 minutes on foot to the Grosshaus.By car: The village of Elm lies in the Sernftal valley. Access to the Sernftal is only possible via Schwanden/Glarus Süd. From the motorway A3 Zurich-Sargans, exit Niederurnen, it is approx. 30km on a steadily ascending road to Elm.Parking: In the town hall car park 50m from the house (free of charge). For loading/unloading you can drive directly to the house and park there temporarily.Bicycles: Can be parked in the barn.Number of persons 4-6: The house offers space for four to six guests. (1 double room, 1 double room with additional sofa bed). Baby cot on request.
