Nestled amidst a picturesque expanse of over 260 acres, this property sits in the heart of one of the nation’s most renowned landscapes—the historic region that served as the inspiration for James Fenimore Cooper’s literary masterpiece, The Last of the Mohicans. Whether you are seeking quiet reflection or outdoor adventure, this fabulous cottage offers the perfect, peaceful escape from the everyday. The estate’s owner is a descendant of Hall of Fame inductee ‘Big Dan’ Brouthers, a renowned baseball long-ball hitter (1879-1904). There are three properties on the estate that would be perfect for a team environment. Toad Hall Carriage House (property id 4819675) and Toad Hall ( property id 4799546). Why not book in all three properties for your group.

The Cottage
The Fly Creek Cabin-Style Cottage perfectly blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you'll find:

Sleeping Arrangements: Two inviting bedrooms, each featuring a comfortable queen bed, plus an additional sofa bed in the living room.

Amenities: A refreshing bathroom shower, a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs, and year-round heating and air conditioning to make the space feel just like home.

Outdoor Living: A patio complete with a Weber grill, ideal for sipping your morning coffee or firing up a BBQ dinner under an unobstructed night sky.

The Estate & Wildlife
The cottage is one of three private residential properties located on the beautiful Toad Hall Estate, which also features active horse stables. While you enjoy your own private accommodations, the true magic lies just beyond your front door.

Start your day with a morning run or a relaxing walk through pristine woodlands, expansive pastures, and along Oaks Creek. The property is a haven for local wildlife; guests can enjoy the peaceful sight of horses and cattle grazing in the fields, deer emerging at dusk, beavers building dams, and geese, herons, and majestic eagles soaring over the ponds.

Guest Access & Amenities
During your stay, you will have access to incredible shared estate amenities:

The Pool: Take a cooling dip in the shared, seasonal saltwater pool.

The Trails & Grounds: Explore miles of extensive private hiking trails and prime fishing spots.

Peace & Privacy: Because the estate properties have distinct layouts and schedules, guests rarely cross paths, ensuring a deeply relaxing and private experience. On-site maintenance workers routinely tend to the grounds and pool to keep the estate in pristine order.

Note: As this is an active estate with multiple residents and horse stables, we kindly ask guests to exercise caution and care when approaching any of the animals. Make your holiday one for the books. Book your ultimate Fly Creek retreat today!
