Where the Lech River flows freely through the valley, the mountains are close enough to touch, and nature still sets the rhythm of the day—that’s where our lovingly renovated, traditional farmhouse in Vorderhornbach is located—nestled in the impressive mountain landscape of the Tyrolean Lech Valley and right on the famous Lechweg trail.
Your vacation begins the moment you arrive: breathe in the crisp mountain air, let your gaze wander over the peaks, and feel the hustle and bustle of everyday life slowly fade away. In the morning, hiking trails beckon right outside your front door; during the day, the Lech River, alpine pastures, and mountain peaks await; and in the evening, you return to your cozy vacation home. Old walls, rustic charm, and modern living comfort come together here to create a special vacation experience. In the fall, you can hear the stags bellowing; in the winter, enjoy the tranquility of the snow-covered landscape; and in every season, experience the unspoiled nature of the Lech Valley. A place for togetherness: Our apartments at Haus Lechtal

Our house features a total of three cozy vacation apartments: two spacious units, each accommodating 4 to 6 people, and a smaller apartment for 2 people. This makes us the ideal place for couples, but also extremely attractive for larger families or groups—for example, when grandparents want to join the trip and you want to spend your vacation together while still enjoying your own private space. Whether you’re a large family, families of friends, or several couples—everyone has their own cozy home, while shared breakfasts, excursions, and social gatherings are easily arranged. Start the day together, explore the mountains together, and round out the evening with a good meal or a glass of wine. Afterward, everyone retreats to their own vacation apartment.

Whether it’s a peaceful nature getaway, a sporting challenge, a family adventure, or relaxing winter days—our house is the ideal starting point for a variety of vacation experiences.
Hiking and Nature: Numerous hiking trails begin right at our doorstep. Follow the Lech River, discover quiet forest paths and blooming mountain meadows, or stop for a break at a cozy alpine hut. The mountain railways take you comfortably higher up, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Tyrolean mountains.
Water Fun and Action: Those who love water will be in their element: Just about 10 minutes away, in Häselgehr, is the local launch point for exciting rafting and canyoning on the wild Lech River. Paragliders will also find ideal conditions here for flights offering a bird’s-eye view. A natural swimming pool (Badino) is located not far from the vacation rental. Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy here on kilometers of bike paths.
Active Adventures Through the Valley: The Lech Valley is a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. Cross-country ski trails wind through the entire valley, and you’ll also find ideal routes here for snowshoeing and ski touring.
Skiing Without a Car: Several diverse ski resorts are located just a short distance away. Best of all: The free ski bus stops right at our house, so you can easily leave your car behind.
Your vacation bonus: The Lechtal Activity Card
From mid-May to mid-October, the convenient hiking bus is already included in the Lechtal Activity Card, which we offer our guests. This lets you plan your excursions with even greater flexibility.

Dog-Friendly Hospitality
Because our four-legged friends are simply part of the family, the entire valley is extremely dog-friendly. Dogs are warmly welcome here—and best of all: you can, of course, stop in with your dog at the cozy restaurants and inns in the area.

The modern, fully equipped kitchen features a large refrigerator with a spacious freezer compartment, an oven, a dishwasher, a kettle, and a toaster, as well as a high-quality fully automatic coffee machine for the perfect start to your day. Modern flat-screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom ensure relaxing evenings.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire vacation rental.

For additional relaxation, our in-house infrared sauna invites you to unwind after an active day in the mountains.
This is how Haus Lechtal combines modern comfort with a genuine feel-good atmosphere.

The cozy bedroom is equipped with a comfortable box-spring bed (180x200) and ensures restful nights. The living room also features a high-quality fold-down bed (see photos showing it folded up and unfolded), which elegantly tucks away during the day to create a spacious living area, yet offers the same high level of sleeping comfort at night. For children up to about 12 years old, there is a separate small room with a bunk bed.
