Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, health-focused forest retreat on 1.5 wooded acres. Available furnished or unfurnished. Dogs welcome with a fenced backyard and doggy door. Ideal for military PCS, relocating families, insurance stays, or extended visits. Located in unincorporated El Paso County near Monument Academy East and District 38 schools. Just 15 min to North Gate, Monument, and USAFA, 20 min to Black Forest, 5 min to Fox Run Regional Park, and a short walk to the wooded HOA trail.

Escape to 1.5 private acres of towering Ponderosa forest, where you’ll enjoy the peace of nature without sacrificing convenience. Featuring a private outdoor infrared sauna, gourmet kitchen, dedicated workspace, fast Wi-Fi, and a fully fenced yard for dogs, this home is ideal for family vacations, military PCS moves, remote work, and extended stays.

Start your morning with a relaxing session in the private two-person outdoor infrared sauna before rinsing off in the aspen-inspired bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower, full garden tub, and skylight that fills the room with natural light. The whole-home water filtration system feels great during a shower.

Prepare breakfast in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen featuring a gas KitchenAid range, generous granite countertops, and everything you need to cook anything from a quick meal to a family feast. Large windows and living plants bring the beauty of the forest indoors.

Outside, the fully fenced backyard lets dogs roam freely through the doggy door while you relax on the patio, play cornhole on the lawn, or fire up the charcoal Kamado-style grill for an afternoon cookout.

After exploring nearby trails, the mountains, or the Air Force Academy, settle in beside the wood-burning stove. Natural stone, warm wood accents, and large picture windows overlooking the Ponderosa forest create the cozy feeling of a mountain cabin. Enjoy board games, a dedicated kids’ corner, or gather around the card table for an evening together. Before sunset, the home is filled with natural light from the numerous windows and skylights. Warm incandescent lighting throughout the home creates a comfortable atmosphere after sunset.

Each bedroom is designed for a peaceful night’s sleep with minimal light intrusion and quiet forest surroundings. On cool evenings, crack open the windows and fall asleep to fresh mountain air drifting through the trees.

Need to work while you’re here? Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated office with two desks make it easy to stay productive before heading back outside.

Emphasis is placed on maximizing non-toxic cleaning products, avoiding unnecessary chemicals in the outdoor spaces, minimizing plastics in the kitchen, and incorporating natural fibers into the bedding and other fabrics.

Before you leave, enjoy one last cup of French press coffee, or complimentary loose leaf tea on the front patio while deer wander through the trees, squirrels chatter overhead, owls call from the forest, and—if you’re lucky—a fox quietly slips by.
