Street Urchins Ahangama

Urchins exactly what I was looking for Good spot in the jungle but close to everything I needed. You wake up surrounded by forest and animal sound and the surroundings are beautiful. The vibe with other travellers is easy — people hang out if you want to, but there’s plenty of space to keep to yourself and just chill. Both work here, which is rare. The rooftop yoga class was awesome. Staff are genuinely kind, polite and helpful with everything. And the host is an European girl who is wonderful — super funny, full of tips on local things to do, and happy to help organise activities. If you want good vibes, good people stay here.

Nothing bothered me, everything was fine.

I had a great time at this cosy new hotel! Judith, the owner, made our stay truly magical. She was super tentative, helpful, and new all the local cool spots to go to. She could gave us tips regarding beaches and sights, everything. Rooms were clean and neat, comfortable, spacious. Excellent breakfast and tea were served. Overall, the hotel was well-equipped and comfortable to stay at. Oh, and the location was great too! Quiet but still close to the city:) I can only recommend this place!

Beautiful hostel, comfy beds, gorgeous pool, great food and wonderful hosts - everything is brand new! Really great value for money. Thank you Judit for a wonderful stay!

Had a pleasant stay at Street Urchins, the place is well kept and located not too far from town. Delicious complimentary Sri Lankan breakfast was a bonus. Staff at the property are very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!
