A modern, stylish vacation home in a beautiful mountain village in the Ore Mountains. A private hot tub with a whirlpool function—wood-heated (the whirlpool is filled with warm, freshly drawn water, and a thermal cover prevents heat loss; so you don’t have to worry about spending hours heating up the whirlpool). From the hot tub, you can gaze up at a beautiful starry sky at night. Unlimited use. Just a short walk from the house, a meadow opens up with a stunning view of the Doupov Mountains (Doupovské hory) across the way. It’s a 15-minute drive to the Klínovec (Keilberg) ski resort and 20 minutes to the German border. There are a number of attractive destinations in the surrounding area: the Klínovec (Keilberg) ski resort, which is equipped with artificial snowmaking in case of a lack of snow, and the historic abandoned village of Königsmühle. Covered patio. The vacation home has its own garden and is surrounded on three sides by lush greenery. The only way to heat the house is via the fireplace. If you’d like to park right next to the house when there’s snow, a four-wheel-drive (4x4) vehicle is required (the house is not located on the main road). The chalet has a total area of 40 m² and features three open-plan rooms: a kitchen, a living room with a dining area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The entire living area is open-concept and has no interior doors (except for the bathroom), though the individual rooms are visually separated from one another. Although the chalet is not completely isolated and there are other cabins in the neighborhood, you’ll enjoy complete privacy. This is because the house is shielded on three sides by dense greenery and natural vegetation, and outside the summer season, the entire area is virtually untouched and rarely visited by others. Wi-Fi is available. However, since we are in the mountains, you cannot expect the same speed and reliability here as in the city. If you have no experience with heating a wood-burning stove, I’d be happy to offer advice and assistance. Please keep in mind, however, before booking that this type of heating is not as convenient as central heating in an apartment. Attractive destinations in the area: Stezka Českem (Czech Trail): The house is located directly on or in the immediate vicinity of the famous long-distance hiking trail “Stezka Českem” (part of the Ore Mountains stage). An absolute highlight for trekking enthusiasts and hikers who want to discover the unspoiled nature of the border ridge. Boží Dar (Gottesgab): The highest town in Central Europe offers the beautiful Božídarské rašeliniště (peat bog) nature reserve with a wooden nature trail, as well as the popular Ježíškova cesta (Christ Child Trail) for families. Fichtelberg: Saxony’s highest mountain lies just across the border. Here you’ll find a historic aerial cableway, a summer toboggan run, and a marine aquarium in Oberwiesenthal. Trail Park Klínovec: A paradise for cyclists in the summer—kilometers of mountain bike trails (flow trails) of all difficulty levels, complete with a bike wash station and a chairlift. UNESCO World Heritage Site: The region is famous for its mining history. Visit the historic mine tours, such as the Stolln Johannes (Adit Johannes) or the mysterious Vlčí jámy (Wolfspinnen) near Horní Blatná.
