Welcome to our cozy vacation home for 4 people in the beautiful Bergslagen region of central Sweden. The house stands alone on a lovely natural property in its own birch forest, and Lake Björksjön is just an 800-meter walk away and visible through the trees.
The house is loosely surrounded by just a few red wooden cottages—typical Swedish vacation homes owned by locals, most of which are unoccupied and secluded. This unique setting evokes the feeling of authentic “Bullerbü” Sweden: quiet and idyllic.
The house features a fully equipped kitchen with an open-concept living and dining area, a wood-burning stove, a TV (satellite TV, currently German channels only), and Wi-Fi. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. Outside, a covered patio invites you to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings in any weather. It also features two lounge chairs and a grill. On balmy summer evenings, the open fire pit is particularly cozy.
For enjoyable time on the water, two rowboats are available free of charge. One is located directly on Lake Björksjön (fishing without a license) and the second on another beautiful lake (fishing with a license). We also offer two kayaks for rent, and at the public swimming area, there’s a canoe available for everyone to use free of charge.

The surrounding area is characterized by unspoiled wilderness, deep forests, and many lakes. It’s perfect for hiking, swimming, paddling, and picking mushrooms and berries. And it’s a true mountain biking paradise with several trails of varying difficulty levels.
The towns of Hällefors and Kopparberg are each a half-hour drive from the house and offer shopping, cafes, and restaurants. We’ve compiled many other excursion ideas in a guest information folder.
