A lovingly restored half-timbered house with three vacation apartments in the heart of Germany. The village of Niederellenbach is idyllically situated in the central Fulda Valley between the city of Fulda (80 km), the city of Kassel (45 km), and Eisenach (60 km).

Enjoy our large garden behind the house. A spot surrounded by greenery—whether in the shade or the sun—invites you to linger, and you’re welcome to have a barbecue with friends. Our “Waldhessen” district (Bad Hersfeld-Rotenburg) offers a wide range of opportunities to experience nature: canoeing, biking, hiking, and much more. The Fulda R1 Bike Trail is 400 m from the accommodation. Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel is 50 km away, and Kassel Wilhelmshöhe train station—with ICE connections—is 48 km away. The nearest airport, Frankfurt am Main, is 160 km away. The Highwalk in Rotenburg an der Fulda is 8 km away. You can reach the town of Bad Hersfeld, home to the famous festival held in the ruins of the collegiate church, by train or car (distance: 30 km). The train station in Heinebach (approx. 600 m) is a 5- to 10-minute walk away. The boat dock on the Fulda River is about 300 m from the accommodation.
