Our cozy, well-furnished vacation rental is located at ground level from the garden, in the rear portion of the basement of a beautiful single-family home on the upper outskirts of Nassau, in the immediate vicinity of a large mixed-wood forest.
Through a harmonious design combining beautiful antique pieces with modern furniture, we’ve created a cozy atmosphere across 58 square meters in three rooms. Our non-smoking apartment is ideal for couples with or without children, solo travelers, hikers, mountain bikers, those seeking peace and quiet, and curious minds looking to improve their health or manage their weight.

• The bright entryway offers a beautiful view of our garden and Nassau Castle. From here, as well as from the sun-drenched seating area in front of it or the covered garden pavilion, you can watch many beautiful sunsets or observe interesting changes in the weather. The room is furnished with an extendable dining table, a cozy little sofa, and comfortable chairs. In an old softwood dresser, you’ll find a collection of games to help pass the time even when the weather is bad or in the evenings. There’s also a small reading nook where you can immerse yourself in one of the many books on healthy living and cooking, herbalism, or an extensive collection of information about our region. A small stereo system rounds out the space.
• The living room is located at the back of the house. On hot days, it’s the perfect retreat to escape the heat. It’s equipped with underfloor heating, making it a cozy spot even on cold days to listen to music on the Dolby Surround system or watch TV. We have a small collection of modern and classical music available here—but it’s best if you bring your favorite music on an USB drive or download it via Spotify to enjoy that concert atmosphere in the living room. The comfortable couch can be converted in just a few simple steps into either an extra-long single bed or a narrow double bed (140 cm wide).
• The bedroom features two beds (80 cm wide), each equipped with high-quality multi-zone mattresses and memory foam toppers. The small, modern closet offers plenty of space to store clothes either hanging or folded. From the bed, you can also admire the castle in the evening light.
• The kitchen is small and not (yet) state-of-the-art, but it’s equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. Out of principle, we have NOT installed a dishwasher here. However, you’ll find an oven, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a refrigerator with a 3-star freezer compartment. In our small library in the entryway, you’ll find inspiring recipes if you’re planning to eat healthy and delicious meals—or if you want to tease those little guys who are always sewing your clothes tighter at night! We’d also be happy to offer advice and assistance on these health-related topics if needed!
• The bathroom is also quite small. Here you’ll find a shower with a low step—so that children can bathe in it or splash around to their heart’s content. There’s also a washing machine here, which you’re welcome to use after we show you how (for €5 per load).
• The seating area in front of your apartment, with the lounge chairs and the garden pavilion, is available for you to use as you please. The apartment is ideally suited for 2 people. This is also the basis for our pricing. For an additional bed in the living room, we charge a one-time fee of 15€ plus 5€ per additional day. Our town of Nassau is located in Rhineland-Palatinate, right on the border between the Taunus and Westerwald regions, in a large, hilly natural forest area.
Nassau has just under 5,000 residents and is situated on the Lahn River, right between Koblenz, Wiesbaden, Limburg, and Montabaur. The town is easily accessible by car as well as by train. In our tranquil little town, there are shops to meet your daily needs, several restaurants (German, Turkish, Greek, Indian, Chinese), 2 cafes, 2 ice cream parlors, and 2 pharmacies...
However, if you’d like to do some window shopping or treat yourself to a little retail therapy, you’ll need to head to the charming towns of Montabaur, Limburg, Bad Ems, or Koblenz, or to the Montabaur Outlet Center.
But our biggest draw is our wonderful surroundings! Nestled in a hilly to slightly mountainous landscape with mixed forests interspersed with small meadows and fields, we’re located right in the heart of the Nassau Nature Park. Here, you’re invited to explore the extensive network of trails—spanning many kilometers—for hiking and mountain biking, or to take the Lahn Bicycle Trail.
In Nassau, there’s a small boat rental service offering electric boats and canoes. From here, you can go on canoe trips along the Lahn River as it winds through the valley.
Nature lovers who prefer a more tranquil and peaceful setting will certainly find what they’re looking for here.

On-site fees: A 100% payment is charged upon booking. Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge; cancellations on the day of arrival will be charged at 100% of the total cost. Cancellations made between 1 and 14 days before arrival will be charged at 50% of the total cost. Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Check-out is available between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to make arrangements, if necessary. Keys will be handed over in person on-site or via a key box. You will receive the code for the key box well in advance of your arrival. Pets are not allowed. The apartment is best suited for 2 people. Our pricing is based on this. For an additional bed in the living room, we charge a one-time fee of 15€ + 5€ peradditional day
