The Old Aquarium is a stunning 2 bed cottage, walking distance to Bourton On The Water's centre, famously known as 'Venice of the Cotswolds' because of its bridges & river running through it.
The cottage, formerly a stable & the village Aquarium, has been updated by an interior designer, Clare has added touches of luxury in keeping with the soul of the property.
Walking distance to Hawkstone Brewery, and close to Diddly Squat, Daylesford, Lower & Upper Slaughter, Bibury & Burford. A Cotswold
The Aquarium has a small contained courtyard garden, which captures the sun all day, the garden is filled with flowers & plants to attract bees, rosemary for your gin and tonic and two chairs and a side to rest in the afternoon sun.
The downstairs is open plan with a living room, inglenook cotswold fireplace and settle dining area and kitchen, which is fitted with a large fridge freezer, Grind coffee machine and dishwasher. In the kitchen there are herbs for your teas taken from the garden.
Upstairs the master, a dual aspect room which overlooks the other traditional cotswold cottages on the street has a large super king bed with luxury washed linens, a chair to relax and a dressing table as well as two wardrobes.
The 2nd bed room, 'the den' is a warm and cozy room which has trundle bed so can accommodate a further 1-2 adults, as well as being suitable for children. Please note that when the trundle bed is pulled out it uses up the width of the room and the two single beds are at different heights. It can be one single bed, or the trundle bed can be pulled out to accommodate two people in this room, please ask the host to set up as you need it ahead of your stay.
Please contact host for if you want a fold bed for a 3rd child for families of 5 which can be placed in the Master.
The bathroom has a low shower and luxury freestanding bath with Bamford & Spacenk products to pamper yourself with during your stay.
The cottage has a much coveted parking space for 1 car, please note there isn’t room for two cars, if guests have a second car then they can drop their bags at the cottage from the main road (Victoria Street) and then park in one of the numerous public car parks in the village.
We ask guests not to block neighbouring drives, even if it’s just to drop bags.
No parties / smoking / or vaping at the cottage.
The cottage had a large smart tv which has all the usual apps for you to log onto, Apple TV, Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Prime, Disney + etc etc
