The Space:

This beautiful and historic home exudes Southern hospitality. It retains many original features such as high ceilings, multiple decorative fireplaces (capped), original hardwood floors, plaster trim, and original woodwork. At just under 5,000 square feet, the home is spacious and ideal for family gatherings, bachelorettes, wedding groups, girls' weekends, and couples' getaways.



The Main House:

The main house comprises the upper three levels of the townhome and sleeps 10. It features a spacious living room and large formal dining room, a fully-stocked kitchen with granite countertops, a stainless gas range, and a Sub-Zero fridge with an ice maker. A bright and airy breakfast room adjoins the kitchen with a balcony overlooking the lovely courtyard below. The second level has two bedrooms, a large full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and a washer and dryer available for guest use. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, with a connected office space. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a connected bonus room with a twin daybed and trundle.

The third level has two additional large bedrooms (one with a King bed and one with a Queen bed), and a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub/shower. Each bedroom has a TV w/streaming. A cable TV w/streaming is located in the living room. Linens included.



Garden Apartment

The ground-level garden apartment has its own private entrance and sleeps 3. The cozy living room has a leather sofa and two leather chairs, and a TV with cable/streaming. A stocked galley-style kitchen has a gas stove/oven, a full-size stainless refrigerator, a dishwasher, a Keurig, and a microwave. A dining area with a table and seating for four is located off the galley kitchen. French doors open to the shared courtyard outside. The master bedroom has a large queen-size bed, and a second smaller bedroom has a double bed. The full bathroom can be accessed via the dining area or the master bedroom and has a tub/shower. Linens included.



Carriage House

The carriage house is located directly behind the main house and is separated by a lovely courtyard area with seating. The carriage house has a one-car garage suitable for most vehicles, with a one-bedroom apartment above. The apartment sleeps two guests and features a living room with two comfy armchairs, a stocked kitchenette with a sink, fridge, and oven, and a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bathroom with a tiled shower. The TV in the living room has cable w/streaming. A cozy front porch with seating overlooks the courtyard below. Linens included.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the main house, garden apartment, carriage house, and courtyard. Street parking is metered.



Guests will enter the main house through the front entrance and have full, exclusive access to the entire property during their stay. The main house is accessed through the front; the Garden apartment is also accessed through the front, but guests will use a separate entrance right off the sidewalk on the ground level (the door has the 118 1/2 letters above it). The Carriage House and the one-car garage are on the back of the property. You can access it through the main house, the garden apartment, or behind the property through the service lane.



Check-in is contactless via smart lock, with your unique code delivered through the app's messaging interface on the day of your arrival, around 3 pm.

The Neighborhood:

When you stay in this property, you will be living in some of Savannah's most desirable real estate - right in the heart of Downtown! Forsyth Park is only steps from your rich and luxurious property - you can literally throw a stone and hit the park! Having a car is unnecessary when living here - you can walk, ride, or bike anywhere in this part of town.



Convenience and grocery stores are just a few minutes' walk from the Victorian Estate - without mentioning the plethora of cafes, bars, and restaurants.



Set off East towards Clary's Cafe for breakfast. Walk through each square to shop local retailers, grab a coffee or quick bite, or park yourself at a bench and just enjoy the Savannah scenery. Those in the mood for a true Southern meal will love being a stone's throw away from Mrs. Wilkes Boarding Room, with other local favorites such as 700 Drayton or Crystal Beer Parlor just a short walk from the apartment.



Popular tourist areas such as River Street and City Market are just a 20-minute walk away, while Savannah's local green space - Forsyth Park - is on the same block as the property.



Parking is metered in front of the property but free between 5 pm and 8 am and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Getting Around:

We think that walking around town is the best way to see the city! If riding is more your speed, we are a quick and inexpensive Uber or taxi ride to all of the downtown attractions.



The free DOT trolley picks up just a block away and runs every fifteen minutes to the Historic District too!



If you drove here, park one car in the garage or on one of the many available on-street parking spots and walk or ride around Savannah (don't forget to pay the meter!). Parking is metered in front of the property but free between 5 pm and 8 am and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.



Attention must also be paid to the street sweeping schedule to avoid a parking fine when parking on the street.



Other Things to Note:

This is a historic property with several staircases and no elevator. Please supervise young children closely and treat the home respectfully, as many features of the home are original and cannot be easily replaced. Absolutely no smoking and no pets.

The original windows, combined with a busy city allow light and sound throughout the day. Also expect to hear sounds typical of city living.



Please be aware that even though we spray for bugs on a quarterly basis, you might see palmetto bugs, wasps, and other insects during your stay. They usually come out to die, but please do your best to keep them out of the house by keeping the windows and doors shut at all times, only bringing food items to the dining room, and keeping trash in the trash can.
