It's one of our favourite places to get some fresh air!
La Pointe Saint-Clément is about 2 km from the centre of Esnandes and offers a magnificent panorama of the Baie de l'Aiguillon, the Ile de Ré and the coastline. It is also an excellent place for bird watching.
Take your time, enjoy the scenery and, if the weather is good, come and watch the sunset.

Esnandes is located in the heart of an exceptional natural environment between the sea and the marshes.
On the coast of Esnandes, you can observe the famous carrelets, these small fishing huts installed above the foreshore.
It is a tradition that is very present on our coast and a nice curiosity to discover during a walk.

The fortified church of Saint-Martin
In the heart of the village, don't miss this amazing fortified Romanesque church.
Built from the twelfth century and then fortified in the fourteenth century, it is part of the emblematic heritage of Esnandes. From its walkway, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the bay.

An interesting passage to discover the history of Esnandes and in particular mussel farming, an emblematic activity of the Baie de l'Aiguillon.PGJyPg�PGJyPgThe Mussel Farming Museum explains the history and know-how related to the cultivation of bouchot mussels.
