O tym ten wynajem wakacyjny

Sometimes it doesn’t take much at all. Just a place where things get quieter.

A few days without appointments. Without traffic outside the door. Without the feeling that you have to rush off somewhere.

Waking up in the morning and looking out at the greenery first thing. Make a cup of coffee, open the door, and realize: Here, the day begins differently.

The “Ruhe” log cabin is nestled among meadows, old trees, and the vast expanse of the Göhrde in the Wendland region of Pommoissel.

This small tiny house is a retreat for one or two people who aren’t looking to experience as much as possible, but rather to live with less for a while.

Arrive. Unwind. Just be there. Be surrounded by nature.

Live small. Have plenty of space.

The tiny house is intentionally furnished in a clean, minimalist style. Not cluttered, not overloaded. Everything you need for a few relaxing days is right there.

The bright living space opens up to the landscape through large, floor-to-ceiling windows. Depending on where you sit, you look out onto meadows, trees, and greenery. The light transforms the space throughout the day, and sometimes that alone is entertainment enough.

In the evening, the sofa becomes a sleeping area for up to two people. In the morning, you can turn it back into a living space or just leave it as is. After all, there’s no reason to set anything up for anyone here.

The small kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, sink, and all the essentials so you can take care of your own meals. At the white table right by the window, you can have breakfast, read, write, have long conversations, or simply look out the window while enjoying a cup of coffee.

You can also use it as a small workspace—for jotting down a few thoughts that finally need to be put on paper. For a book. For a journal. Or for people who want to combine work and a retreat for a few days.

The private bathroom with a walk-in shower features a modern and minimalist design.

And then there’s the outdoors.
Perhaps that’s even the largest “room” in the tiny house.

The landscape.
The old trees.
The meadows.
The sky.
The Göhrde.
The Wendland.

From here, you can set out to explore the surroundings or simply stay put. Read a book. Sleep in. Cook. Sit outside. Take a stroll without having to turn it into a hike right away.

And if you do want to head out...

Holzhaus Ruhe is located in an area that doesn’t clamor for attention. You have to explore it a little to discover it.

The Wendland, with its small villages, old farms, art studios, forests, and unique cultural landscape, practically begins right outside the door. Here you can hike, bike, explore small towns, or simply see where the day takes you.

Nearby is the Michaelshof Sammatz, a special place with sprawling gardens, an Ark Farm, animals, a café, and an organic market. It’s a lovely spot to stroll through the gardens, stop for a break, and spend a few hours.

The Elbe River and the Elbe floodplains aren’t far away either. For me, the water, the expansive landscape, and that vast sky are an integral part of this region.

For a relaxing afternoon, a trip to Hitzacker is well worth it. Stroll through the small half-timbered town, walk along the Elbe, have a coffee, or stop in somewhere—and don’t overplan your day.

Dannenberg is another small town that’s perfect to combine with a trip through the Wendland.

And if you’re in the mood for a bit more of a city, Lüneburg awaits with its historic old town, small shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Good food is also part of your getaway.
In the surrounding area, you’ll find lovely restaurants, cafés, farm stands, and local spots. So you certainly don’t have to cook in the tiny house every night.

You’ll find some of my personal favorite spots and recommendations inside the house. Not as a mandatory tourist checklist, but as a small collection of places I like to visit myself.

There are days when you want to get out and do something.
And there are days when it feels good not to have to plan anything.
There’s room for both here.

Holzhaus Ruhe isn’t a place for “higher, faster, further.”
And maybe that’s exactly what makes it so luxurious.

You won’t find a packed schedule of activities or entertainment here. You’ll find a small, lovingly designed place surrounded by nature, where you can reconnect with your own rhythm.

Maybe you’ll come for a weekend.

Maybe for a few days on your own.

Maybe as a couple, because you finally want to spend time together again without constant interruptions.

Maybe you’ll bring your hiking boots.

Maybe a stack of books.

Maybe your laptop, because you finally want to finish writing something.

And maybe after the first day, you’ll realize you don’t need any of that at all.

Who is Holzhaus Ruhe meant for?
For people who love nature and don’t confuse peace and quiet with boredom.
For couples who want a few days to themselves.
For solo travelers looking to get away from their daily routine.
For people who want to write, read, reflect, or be creative.
And for everyone who knows that a good break isn’t measured by how much you’ve experienced.
Sometimes it’s measured by how little you’ve missed.

What to expect in the Tiny House
Your own bright living area with large windows and a view of the greenery, a sleeper sofa for up to two people, a small kitchen for self-catering, a dining area, a small workspace, and your own modern bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Tiny House is part of the “Ruhe” log cabin, but it’s your own little retreat.

The decor is intentionally personal. Simple, warm, and filled with little things that I like myself. It’s not a meticulously styled hotel room where no one really lives. Rather, it’s a place where you close the door behind you and quickly get the feeling:
For the next few days, this can be my place.

Maybe “peace” isn’t the opposite of “experience” after all.
Maybe it’s what’s left when, for a moment, nothing is pulling at you anymore.
When no alarm clock makes the decisions in the morning.
When you drink your coffee while it’s still warm.
When you look out the window without having to do something else at the same time.
When a walk doesn’t need a destination.
That’s exactly why the Holzhaus Ruhe was created.

Not so you can do as much as possible here.
But so you can simply be here.

And when you head back home after a few days, you don’t need to have experienced anything special.

Perhaps it’s enough simply to realize:

I’ve arrived.
