Powody, dla których warto dokonać rezerwacji
O tym ten wynajem wakacyjny
Fifteen wooded acres. A beautifully renovated mid-century home. Private trails leading to Eagle Creek, where you can launch your own canoe or kayak. All approximately 22 minutes from downtown Indianapolis.
Welcome to The Deckhouse, a peaceful woodland retreat that feels miles away from the everyday—without taking you far from everything Indianapolis has to offer. Tucked behind mature oaks and wild ferns, this two-bedroom ranch is an inviting place to unwind after a busy conference, reconnect with family, work remotely, or simply enjoy a change of scenery.
Spend your morning with coffee on the deck, your afternoon exploring a quarter-mile of wooded trails, and your evening gathered around the outdoor fire pit. Head downtown for a game, concert, or dinner, then return to the space and privacy of your own 15-acre retreat.
## THE HOME | MID-CENTURY CHARM, MODERN COMFORT
Fully renovated and thoughtfully furnished, The Deckhouse balances the simplicity of its mid-century roots with the conveniences of a modern stay. The open main-level layout connects the living room and fully equipped kitchen, creating a comfortable gathering place for meals, conversation, games, or a quiet evening with the Smart TV.
The kitchen makes it easy to prepare a quick breakfast before an outing, enjoy dinner at home, or maintain your usual routine during a longer stay. Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace mean you can stay connected when needed—and step outside into the woods when you need a break.
Bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: One queen bed and one twin sleeper chair
- Bedroom 2: One full-size bed
The home welcomes up to four registered guests, making it a natural fit for couples, small families, friends, or travelers visiting Indianapolis for business or pleasure.
EAGLE CREEK ACCESS | BRING YOUR CANOE OR KAYAK
One of the property's most distinctive features is access to Eagle Creek from the wooded grounds. Follow approximately a quarter-mile of private trails toward the creek, where you can launch your own canoe or kayak and experience the landscape from the water.
Whether you enjoy paddling, watching for birds, or simply spending time near the water, creek access offers another way to make the most of your stay. Bring your own boat and appropriate safety equipment; canoes, kayaks, and life jackets are not listed as provided amenities. Water levels, currents, weather, and trail conditions can change, so guests should assess conditions and paddle only when safe and permitted. Access involves a natural wooded trail rather than an accessible paved launch.
FIFTEEN PRIVATE ACRES | A PLACE TO SLOW DOWN
The land is part of the experience. Tall trees, native ferns, changing light, and seasonal color give the property a different character throughout the year. In spring, the woods turn bright green; summer brings a leafy canopy; autumn offers rich color; and winter reveals the quiet structure of the forest.
Step onto the spacious private deck to enjoy breakfast in the fresh air, read a book, or catch up with the people you're traveling with. Wander the trails and see what catches your eye. As the sun goes down, settle around the fire pit for conversation and a relaxing evening outdoors, subject to local fire restrictions.
This is a natural woodland property, not a manicured park. Trails may be uneven, muddy, or slippery, especially after rain. You may encounter wildlife and insects, and appropriate outdoor footwear is recommended.
