A short, 0.5-mile stroll brings you to the heart of Fowey, where you’ll find plenty of independent restaurants and pubs, many serving delicious, fresh seafood. The town is a magnet for creatives, and there are some gorgeous boutiques and galleries dotted along its steep, narrow streets. You can enjoy coastal walks from the town on either side of the estuary – hop on the foot ferry to head across the water to Polruan, where the views looking back towards Fowey are truly breathtaking. Nearby attractions include Lanhydrock National Trust (9 miles) and The Eden Project (5.5 miles).


The characterful property forms part of a former Victorian school building and features fabulous high ceilings, original beams, and elegant wooden floors. From the entrance hall, you’ll find three inviting bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a stylish family bathroom on this level with cosy underfloor heating. Upstairs, a light and airy lounge/diner awaits, with large windows framing views across the rooftops to the boats bobbing on the water. Spend time unwinding here after a day at the beach, gathered for a movie night around the Smart TV or sharing a family meal at the dining table. Just off the lounge/diner is a bespoke, country-style kitchen with a breakfast bar and all the equipment needed to rustle up tasty feasts for the group.


From the kitchen, steps lead to the enclosed, rear garden. Relax here, on the terrace and enjoy the changing tides and breathtaking views of the River Fowey whilst you sip a glass of wine or tuck into an al fresco supper amongst idyllic coastal surroundings. From the terrace, further steps take you to the lawn, which is surrounded by a stone wall and pretty plants and flowers. You’ll find additional seating to the front of the property with views across the harbour. Parking is provided for one car in the allocated space in the property car park outside the house.
