PERFECTLY PLACED FOR
Round Top Antiques Weekends: Spend the day treasure hunting, then unwind in a rocking chair on the screened porch. Parking and a garage make loading up your finds easy.

Aggie Game Weekends: Come for the game and skip the campus crowds. Stay somewhere calm and elegant, with downtown dining steps away.

Bluebell Fun Run: Walk to the festivities and be back on the porch in minutes.

Girls’ Weekends: Shop in the morning, linger over lunch, and open a bottle of wine on the porch as the string lights come on.

Food and Wine Getaways: Get on the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail for a truly amazing time on the trail.

Wedding Guests: Get glam with your friends before toasting the couple of the century and regroup in your quiet sanctuary.

You came for the game or for the Bluebonnets or the Antiques, but Brenham always has something to celebrate. We’d love to see you come back for the Scarecrow Festival in Autumn, Santa’s Wonderland in Winter, and all the Texas Birthday Bashes you can think of in the Spring.

THE HOME
The living room and screened porch: Cream, dusty blue, and blush pink drift through the living room like a spring garden, with peonies and songbirds climbing toward a high ceiling and light that stays gentle all day. It’s made for settling in and for long conversations that no one is in a hurry to end. French doors open straight onto the screened porch, which works as the living room’s outdoor twin. Screened walls let the breeze and the green of the trees come right in, ceiling fans keep the air moving, and string lights glow in the branches as evening comes on. It’s a place for morning coffee or a last glass of wine.

The kitchen and dining room: Pink, gold, and a little bit of a cantina vibe give this kitchen the spirit of a party that doesn’t need a reason. It’s a room for cocktails mixed with enthusiasm and slow breakfasts that run into brunch. There is a full coffee bar, including a drip and a Keurig to keep everyone caffeinated as well as a cocktail cart you can stock from the shops just a few steps outside the door and around the corner. We have everything you need to cook up what you found at the farmer’s market. The dining room is a great place for lingering dinners and deep conversations that will eventually lead to cackling and laughing about what you got up to the last time you were all together.

The Garden Suite (downstairs): Pale, quiet, and uncluttered, this room is built for the deep sleep a long weekend calls for. Room-darkening shades keep the morning sun out, so a late night never costs anyone a lazy morning. It also means no one has to miss out. With every other bedroom upstairs, a mom, grandmother, or friend who can’t manage a full flight of stairs can stay in the middle of things, close to the kitchen, the living room, and the late-night stories. The attached bath adds a gallery wall of vintage magazine covers for a wink of glamour.

The Catwalk Room (upstairs): Tigers, leopard-print lamps, and a splash of hot pink make this a room for dressing up. It’s made for the hour before dinner, when everyone is putting on the good earrings. When the room-darkening shades come down, it turns dark and cool for sleeping in. When they go up, it’s perfect for slow mornings with coffee by the window.

The Wildly Chic Room (upstairs): Two beds in soft aqua and plenty of floor space make it ideal for sisters, best friends, and wedding guests who plan to stay up too late talking. We like to think of it as the teen-girl room with better taste and a better budget than we had when we were that age. Room-darkening shades mean the late start the next morning is guaranteed.
The upstairs bath: A glowing mirror and plenty of counter space make getting ready for dinner part of the fun.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Catwalk Room: 1 king (upstairs)
Wildly Chic Room: 2 queens (upstairs)

GOOD TO KNOW
We love hosting, and a few simple things help every stay go smoothly. If anything is unclear, message us anytime.

WHO IT’S FOR
Hideaway on Main is a peaceful home for small groups, family visits, wedding weekends, and girls’ trips, with room for up to 8 overnight guests. In a quiet downtown neighborhood, it isn’t set up for parties or large events, and only registered guests stay after 10 PM. Want friends to visit during the day? Ask before booking. With approval, we can often welcome up to 12 in total.

BOOKING
The booking guest should be 25 or older and stay for the whole trip. New to VRBO? Send us a quick Inquiry about your plans first, and keep notifications on so we can reply fast.
After booking, we’ll send a short rental agreement and, if VRBO doesn’t collect it at checkout, a request for the City of Brenham Hotel Occupancy Tax (7%). Please complete both within 72 hours, or the reservation may be cancelled under VRBO’s policies.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Check-in is 4 PM and checkout is 10 AM. Ask a day or two ahead about early arrival, and the day before about late checkout. Up to two extra hours is often free when there’s no same-day turnover.

THE HOME
Only the Garden Suite is downstairs. The other two bedrooms are up a full flight of stairs. Three locked owner closets are off limits. Everything else, including the garage, is yours.
Please treat it like the home of a good friend:
Smoke-free inside and on the porch, including vaping. Please smoke well away from the house.
No pets. Service animals are welcome under VRBO policy and applicable law.
Glitter, confetti, hair dye, and water balloons stay home. They’re hard to clear before the next guests arrive.
Bag trash and recycling into the garage bins, not outside or on the porch.
Please don’t unplug the modem or router. They run the internet, TVs, and smart-home comfort features. Message us if something isn’t working.
Keep noise low in the evenings. We love our neighbors.
This is warm, humid Texas, so the occasional bug may visit despite quarterly pest control. Keep exterior doors closed and tell us about any problem.

CAMERAS
Two exterior Ring cameras cover the front door and garage areas. There are none indoors, and feeds aren’t watched live. Footage is reviewed only when reasonably necessary, such as to verify arrivals and departures, service access, or a reported issue like noise, unauthorized guests, or animals.

LONGER STAYS
Stays of 14+ nights include a free housekeeping visit about every two weeks. After three days, supplies like paper towels and toilet paper are a starter set.

WHERE TO FIND THINGS
First aid and fire extinguisher: kitchen/pantry. Iron: Garden Suite. Vacuum, broom, mop, and trash bins: garage. Cleaning supplies: above the washer/dryer. Games and books: upstairs.

IF SOMETHING ISN’T RIGHT
The home is photographed after cleaning and before each arrival. If anything is damaged, missing, dirty, or not working, tell us right away so we can make it right, and please allow reasonable access for repairs. Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear, and for smoke cleanup or excess cleaning, with charges requested through VRBO. Serious or intentional damage may end a stay, and VRBO or law enforcement may be notified. If a utility, internet, or weather interruption happens, tell us at once and we’ll work to restore service. Any refund follows VRBO’s policies.

Please have the booking guest be our main contact for your group.

We look forward to welcoming you to Historic Downtown Brenham.
