This prized townhouse, formerly a synagogue, was brilliantly transformed in 2005 by world-famous designers from Ian Schrager Hotels. Located in the Historic East Village, this 3/4 bedroom, 2.5 bath fourplex has been featured in Architectural Record and other press. The architecturally distinctive landmark boasts three outdoor spaces, including a landscaped rooftop deck, an outdoor hot tub, a steam room, and wine storage.
The interior is bathed in natural light and adorned with high-end touches such as Brazilian hardwood cherry floors and radiant floor heating. Custom-made windows replicate those from the building’s synagogue days, complete with the Star of David. The living and entertaining space features 22' cathedral ceilings, a cantilever balcony with a built-in projector, and a chef’s kitchen with a 20' island, Thermador double ovens, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Bosch dishwasher, and a wine cooler. The East Village is known for its happening nightlife. Old-school bars, music venues, and performance spaces share the streets with posh cocktail lounges and hip restaurants. Please note that this property requires a $5,000 credit hold for stays of less than 90 nights and $10,000 for stays of 90 nights or longer. This security deposit is facilitated after a booking is confirmed as a credit card hold taken 2 days prior to arrival and released 2 days after departure.
As a reminder, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property, in the home or in the outside areas of the home. Smoking will result in a odor removal fee of no less than $500 and up to $1,000 as well as possible removal from the property.
