Historic character sets the tone inside this inviting ground-floor retreat, where exposed timber framing and ceiling beams recall Normandy’s traditional architecture. The dining area sits beside the open kitchen, creating a sociable setting for leisurely breakfasts or relaxed dinners, while doors bring in natural light and lead towards a small terrace for time outdoors. Set in the historic centre of Pont-Audemer, the accommodation places the town’s distinctive heritage close at hand. Often nicknamed the “Venice of Normandy”, Pont-Audemer is threaded with canals and atmospheric streets lined with half-timbered houses and architecture from centuries past. Rue Sadi Carnot and the former Hôtel de Vaulbert offer further glimpses of local history, while shops and cultural sights are conveniently nearby. The surrounding Normandy countryside also lends itself to peaceful excursions, with the Seine estuary, Honfleur and the Marais Vernier among the rewarding places to explore.
