The cozy wood stove and the bookshelf filled with books and games create a nostalgic atmosphere. But there is also no shortage of modern amenities. It's almost a shame that you have regular internet and television. With 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are on the ground floor, there is ample space for 8 people and your pet. Enjoy the peace and space at this unique location!
From the vacation home, you can easily walk into the adjacent Wildenberg-Rabbinge forest and heath area, with varying paths alongside heath, brook valley grasslands, and charming farmhouses. The Reest, the border river between Drenthe and Overijssel, provides a picturesque backdrop for a walk or bike ride. At the Visitors Center De Wheem in the Reest Valley, you can learn more about the area's nature.

On warm days, you can cool off at the open-air swimming pool De Heuveltjesbosbad in Balkbrug. For a relaxing day, the Thermen Zuidwolde is just around the corner. A fun family outing can be had at the Slagharen Amusement Park or the Zoo in Emmen. And if you've never been to Giethoorn, rent a boat there and take a scenic tour through the world-famous village.

After a day of exploring the region, you can enjoy cooking at the house. However, the area also offers many excellent dining options nearby. For authentic Drenthe cuisine, Narline in Zuidwolde is highly recommended. If you want to indulge in luxury, head to the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Epifaan in Veeningen
