Waverton is a peaceful, picturesque hamlet positioned just outside the historic market town of Wigton on the beautiful Solway Plain. This pastoral landscape of neat fields and quiet lanes offers an authentic taste of rural Cumbrian life, perfectly situated as an inland gateway between the Solway Coast and the dramatic northern fells of the Lake District.

The bustling centre of Wigton is steeped in history, featuring a pre-medieval street plan, narrow alleyways, and the landmark 19th-century George Moore Memorial Fountain.
