The Neighborhood:

Riverside Road is in South Gulf Cove, a residential boating community on the western edge of Port Charlotte built around an extensive canal network that runs out to Charlotte Harbor and on to the Gulf. It's quiet, uncrowded and very much oriented to the water, with docks behind most homes and a county-managed boat lock.
