At the heart of the house is a comfortable living area overlooking the bay, with large windows drawing the coastal scenery inside. The well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare everything from simple breakfasts to family dinners, while the spacious deck is a natural gathering place for outdoor meals, afternoon drinks or simply sitting back and taking in the view.



Direct access from the property leads you straight onto Tata Beach, so swimming, paddling and beach walks can become part of the everyday rhythm of your stay. Two kayaks are available for guests to enjoy, and there is a BBQ and outdoor furniture for making the most of warm Golden Bay evenings.

The Neighborhood:

Tata Beach is a small, peaceful seaside settlement on the eastern side of Golden Bay, known for its golden sand, clear turquoise water and sheltered setting. It is particularly well suited to swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding, while the Tata Islands just offshore create one of the bay’s most recognisable coastal views.



Despite its wonderfully quiet setting, Tata Beach is an excellent base for exploring Golden Bay. Tākaka is approximately 15 minutes away by car for cafés, restaurants, galleries and everyday supplies, while Wainui Falls, Pōhara and Ligar Bay are all within easy reach.



Continue over the hill towards Tōtaranui and you reach the northern end of Abel Tasman National Park, with golden beaches, native coastal forest and access to the Abel Tasman Coast Track.
