Welcome to our newest OurWelcomeHome apartment. We’re Khaled and Sarah, and we’ve created this brand-new home with the same care we bring to our other homes as experienced hosts. Think morning coffee in your own garden, meals together and a comfortable place to return to after a day out in Sheikh Zayed.

A warm, modern retreat
Our furnishing scheme brings together warm wood, soft cream and sandy tones, textured fabrics and simple contemporary lines. The feel is relaxed and welcoming, with space to spend time together and three separate bedrooms when you want privacy. This ground-floor apartment sleeps up to six.

Your own garden and terrace
Two private outdoor spaces give you a choice of places to unwind. The front garden and rear terrace each have a table and four chairs, with an umbrella on the terrace. Take your coffee outside, linger over breakfast or catch up at the end of the day.

At home in Village West
Village West by Dorra is a residential compound in Sheikh Zayed. Shared landscaped grounds and a playground add to the appeal for families, while the compound’s road connections make it a useful base for exploring Sheikh Zayed and western Cairo. You can enjoy the neighbourhood’s residential setting and come home to outdoor space of your own.

Three bedrooms, room for six

• Master bedroom: a 180 cm-wide bed and its own en suite shower bathroom.
• Second bedroom: two 100 cm-wide beds.
• Third bedroom: a 120 cm-wide bed with a 100 cm-wide pull-out underneath, plus a desk and chair for working. The door closes for privacy.
• A second full shower bathroom serves the other rooms.

The everyday details, taken care of
The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and there’s a washing machine for longer stays. We welcome you with coffee, tea, sugar, two bottles of water and a basket of snacks, plus cooking essentials including seasoning, oil and vinegar. Air conditioning and heating are provided in all three bedrooms and the living room. Fibre Wi-Fi reaches up to 30 Mbps, and the living room has a 50-inch TV with IPTV included. Sign in to your own accounts for other streaming services. Electricity is included.

Guest access
You will have exclusive use of the entire apartment, front garden and rear terrace. Parking includes one assigned underground space and free street parking inside the compound. Landscaped grounds and the playground are shared with other residents.

Your neighbourhood
Village West by Dorra offers a fresh residential setting in Sheikh Zayed, with landscaped grounds and a shared playground to enjoy during your stay. Spend time exploring the neighbourhood’s cafés, restaurants and shopping by car, then return to the quieter setting of the compound and your own private garden and terrace. It is a welcoming base for enjoying Sheikh Zayed and exploring western Cairo.

Getting around
One assigned underground parking space and free street parking inside the compound are available. A car or ride-hailing service is useful for exploring Sheikh Zayed and visiting sights across western Cairo. Allow extra time for traffic when planning outings and airport transfers.

We’re Khaled and Sarah, the hosts behind OurWelcomeHome. This apartment is new, but welcoming guests is something we’ve been doing for years as hosts. We want you to feel comfortable asking us about the home or planning your stay. You’ll have the privacy of your own apartment, with us and our team a message away on Vrbo for help settling in, practical questions and local suggestions.



Arrival and departure
Lockbox self check-in is available from 3pm, and checkout is by noon. Ask in advance about earlier arrival or later departure; these depend on availability.

Please review before booking

• Couples where either partner is an Arab national must provide an official marriage certificate before check-in.
• Mixed-gender gatherings of unmarried guests are not permitted in the apartment.
• All overnight guests must be registered before arrival. We require each adult guest’s ID in advance for compound registration. Visitors must leave by 10pm. If you are unsure whether these requirements apply to your group, please message us before booking.

Quiet hours and house rules
Quiet hours are 5pm–10am: normal evening activity is fine, but please avoid loud music, noisy appliances and loud outdoor conversations. Smoking is permitted only in the garden or on the terrace, using an ashtray. No parties or events. Pets are not permitted, subject to applicable assistance-animal requirements.

Services charged separately
For stays longer than ten days, a required mid-stay clean costs USD 25 per visit; we agree access with you. Additional cleaning is also USD 25 per visit. A crib or stroller can be requested in advance for USD 5 per night per item, subject to availability. Crib sizes are 30 × 80 cm for the portable crib and 66 × 124 cm for the larger cot. Electricity is included at no extra charge.

Internet
Fibre Wi-Fi reaches up to 30 Mbps; actual speeds vary. The included allowance is 50 GB per week or 200 GB per month. Internet extras: an additional 100 GB at standard speed is USD 10; the 70 Mbps / 250 GB option is USD 15; the 100 Mbps / 250 GB option is USD 20. Please request upgrades before arrival if possible.

Lost keys
A lost key or access card costs USD 50, handled through the applicable Vrbo process.

Safety and practical details
Three exterior security cameras are positioned outside the entrance door and at the front windows, covering only the entrance approaches. They do not cover the garden seating area or the apartment interior. There are no smoke or carbon monoxide alarms. Please keep food and drinks out of the bedrooms, switch off the A/C when you go out, and handle the furniture with care without rearranging it. Please put toilet paper and wipes in the bin beside the toilet.
