Bright, Spacious, Beautiful Clean Property! Impressive designed large spaces. The photos undersold the unit which in fact has three bathrooms (an extra small one off the kitchen). Also, there should be images depicting the updated master bathroom. Well stocked. Cute pineapple theme. Fantastic views!The staff at Sunset Fisherman-wonderful, all sweet/helpful. Love that there are water jugs in the condos. So many delightful guests and owners. Nice community! Special activities & lending library is great. Not at all the owner fault, but some communication challenges on night regarding my need to wash the bedding and towels before usage. I did explain in an advance e-mail to Jimena & Carmen (prior to arrival) that due to a severe allergy to chemical laundering products, it was imperative for me to wash the linens with my own chemical free detergent. I asked her to show me how to use the machine & went to get towels from the station. Upon returning she had left & had difficulty getting her to return. She was angry that I was bothering her on her Mexican Memorial Holiday. Finally by 2:00 AM I was able to dry the sheet with the iron as the drier takes many hours for even a small load. I would suggest a more efficient washer/drier with English translation. Also, when guests arrive (just the 1st night-typically when needs pop up) the home attendant should make it a priority to be available and defer personal appointments until after the first night of arrival.

Great view nice pool. Physical size of property is very nice. Not to large and right on ocean.

We are members, and have been going to the fisherman for over 20 years. We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the condo balcony is spectacular and is one of the best in Playa del Carmen. Elena was very responsive to our needs and answered all of our questions. The Fisherman has one of the nicest beaches of any of the resorts in Playa Del Carmen, especially because of its size. Only about 60 rooms total. The staff at the Fisherman‘s are very helpful and many have become good friends, It’s like coming home. We love the location because it’s close enough to the ocean that you can hear the waves from your room and walk into town for many of the restaurants.

The Fishermans Village Resort is wonderful. This particular condo needed several repairs while we were there. The property manager was quick to respond, and maintenance people very nice, but we didn't expect to have maintenance staff in condo frequently due to the multiple issues. Some major issues, like when we used the upstairs shower, water ran in the closet below. 2 days of repairs. After rain overnight, we woke to a large puddle in upstairs bathroom &some wet belongings. The NEW roof leaked into a couple of Condos. Not the fault of owner or manager...still more time spent with Maintenance guys in unit. Upstairs bathroom drain wouldn't open, so sink was unusable until Maintenance came again and removed drain, and returned days later to install new drain. Upstairs bathroom light blinked constantly, we thought it needed a new bulb, but entire fixture was removed, and new one installed the next day. 2 more Maintenance visits. I don't blame the owner or property manager, but some of the issues clearly existed before we arrived, we didn't want our deposit to be withheld if we didn't report problems (some of them were major issues) But it really impacted our use of the condo to have men showing up to make repairs at anytime of day. Upstairs bath had people working there almost every day. Downstairs bath ceiling has the access to plumbing, so at times neither baths or bedrooms were available for use for hours. Not much privacy. Also, the door lock is tricky.
