Walnut Beach Resort

The room was bigger than expected. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and tasty and the service was exceptional especially Vish, he made our time by the lake very enjoyable two days in a row!

The property was new and nicely decorated. Nice location with a cute sandy beach and gorgeous scenery.

The location of this hotel worked well for us for an end of September visit. Close enough to everything but away from the main street in Osoyoos. The room was large with a nice view of the pool and the lake. The air conditioning worked very well. The room was equipped with good bedding and excellent bath and beach towels. The manager of the restaurant was very pleasant to deal with when we had breakfast there the first morning of our stay.

The kitchen in our studio suite was equipped with everything we needed. However, the paper towel rolls were the cheapest I've ever seen anywhere. More like rolls of paper that you would get in a washroom with no serration to tear the sheets and little absorption. The hallways and rooms are void of any noise dampening materials so there seems to be a lot of noise compared to other hotels that we frequent. The window coverings are blinds and roller shutters which do not absorb any noise. Most resorts that we stay at have quiet time from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. At this resort it's 11:00 p.m. When I spoke to the front desk attendant (a young woman) about the noise in the adjoining suite (we had interconnecting doors), she was dismissive of my concerns and muttered "very nice" as we left.
