Chebucto Inn

Affordability in the Halifax downtown market.

The motel is a bit of a throwback. So beginning to show its age.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value breakfasts in the attached restaurant. Easy parking.

Quite expensive given its location.

The motel was located at a quiet residential location near to the downtown. There is a bus that goes directly to Halifax Downtown and takes around 20-25 minutes. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was regularly cleaned and staff kept checking in if rooms needed to be serviced. The rooms were quite roomy and comfortable. The best part of the stay was the presence of Lady Hammond Grill attached to the property which serves a really good breakfast, also there is a Tim Hortons nearby as well as several restaurants/pubs like Jenny's and a pizzeria.

The rooms were dated, and there were not enough plug points also existing plugs were located inconveniently. Also AC were old school, though it was effective to cool the room quickly but there were no option to control the temperature.

Easy access to room. Restaurant was handy and good. Beds were comfortable, Room was clean.

The air conditioning thermostat was broken...so no air. Bathroom was dated and not enough towels for 2 days. Because air was broken had to open window and listen to people and traffic noise. At least it had off street parking.
