The Fort Nashwaak Motel

Budget friendly motel with nice pub attached. The pedestrian bridge nearby means the city centre is within walking district. A very short walk to Picaroons brewery and restaurant was a bonus.

The pub did not stay open very late on certain days.

the price was very good, it met our expectation, easy to exit the property, close to where we wanted to go

the TV is to small.

Reception was courteous and friendly. The young lady at the desk was the quiet sort, which was a bit hard to hear. The room served our purpose. It was clean, the bed comfortable and the hot water in the shower, abundant. The caulking on the tub surround could use attention.

The sheets were stiff and somewhat scratchy.

Good location, windows open front and back in the room for air circulation, pub on premises, lots of parking, the price, pet friendly, close to highway, close to Tim Hortons.

No screen in bathroom window , no curtain on bathroom window that has clear glass, desk chair is too large for the space, I had to crawl on my knees under the desk to find an outlet, not enough outlets, I’m guessing a long term tenant lives at the motel and he sat outside smoking marijuana daily which smelled horrible, no staff on duty overnight, no wake up availability until 8 am, I believe there used to be smoking in the room, no alarm clock in room, old air conditioning unit that is difficult to operate as the dials are not clear. I could not figure out how to operate the tv.
