Good breakfast. Convenient location. Room comfortable overall. Staff friendly when present. House and facilities were clean.

The house is not really ADA compliant or easy to maneuver for those with mobility issues. My elderly parents had difficulty getting up and down the stairs to our room and up the front/side walks with no handrail. We were asked to take our shoes off in the house but this was not possible for them. Many floorboards in the basement were loose and a tripping hazard. The toilet worked but couldn't take any TP, which made things difficult for them. One of the beds in our room had no boxspring mattress so was too low for them to get in/out of. Except for breakfast, staff was not present and only available by text/phone, which made them inaccessible for my parents. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but these things made it more challenging, for sure. Knowing the limitations of the house for those with mobility issues is crucial and should be clear on the website prior to booking.

Bed was very comfortable and I slept quite well.

On arrival there was no one present to greet me. I didn't know my room number or parking allotment. There was an email sent the day before with that information but in my rush to get ready to leave I missed seeing it. I happened to meet an employee who was able to get the information resent to me in a text message. I was in a basement room and the stairs going down to it were quite steep. I have mobility issues so getting down the stairs was a real challenge. If I come back I will be sure to request a ground floor room. The room was quite chilly and the little space heater was totally inadequate to warm the room. Once it bed, however, it was fine There was a power outage underway so was unable to have breakfast. Not the B&B's fault but the breakfast was included in the acommodation fee. Perhaps a partial refund would be appropriate?
