The restaurant was great - we ate dinner there twice. The room size was good. There is a complimentary shuttle to get into town at night. The main part of town is within walking distance. The gardens are across the street but very pretty.

The room furniture is dated and ugly with heavy dark furniture. Only one window in the room. The AC unit is in the window and noisy. There is a lobby but not very inviting to hang out in. It has a video screen that is human sized with advertising on it. I expected there to be some nice comfortable sofas in the lobby and room for more than a couple of couples. The indoor pool is overchlorinated and had to walk through the space to get to our room. There were used towels all over the place. The outdoor pool area was very crowded with chaises, 3 deep and next to each other in tight rows. There is no coffee or hot water kettle in the rooms--you have to go to the lobby.

Some areas are dated. And the courtyard with pool is crowded.

The staff was friendly and the hotel’s restaurant was great. Check-in/out process was smooth and easy. Property outside the hotel is beautiful.

The spa was cavernous and so crowded it was like a cattle call. There was nowhere for my daughter and I to sit in the lounge between services and the locker room was small and out dated. Our room was very outdated and in a bizarre location where the windows were actually looking out at the hallway, not outside. Everyone walking by our room could be heard easily. The room was clean, but very small and dark. The parking lot is also almost a block away from the hotel, which wasn’t ideal. Proximity to Picton/Queen St was decent. For the high price, we were very disappointed with the quality.
