We always stay at Aloft when shopping in Vaughan. It’s location very convenient to walk to the mall and nearby favourite Grazie Ristorante. The rooms are well planned and the beds are very comfortable.
The lobby can be congested near the entrance. The check in area is close to the main door - which leads to a lot of people abruptly stopping or standing around. Also loud music played in the lobby makes it difficult to hear what is being said at check in. This same loud music is also heard in the elevators.

The location was convenient, as it was relatively close to shopping malls and Canada’s Wonderland. The room and bed were clean and basic, which I appreciated.
I expected more from the Marriott name, but the hotel felt more like a mid-range or budget hotel. We stayed in a room for two, but only one bottle of water was provided, and that was only on the first day. The shampoo and body wash dispensers were also not properly refilled, and I was disappointed that there were no room slippers.

Great location and very friendly staff.
They were replacing asphalt on the ground and the smell was unpleasant at times.
