North Star Lodge & Resort

I have now stayed here 3 times and love it. It’s very centrally located and staff are very nice.

Unfortunately this time I had a beautiful room that was bigger than previous 2 visits. and was blown away at first. However, later in the evening when I was excited to use the jet tub in the bathroom the jets did not work. Also the television in the bedroom did not work either. As it was late and we only stayed 1 night I didn’t call for maintenance and reported it in the morning. So that was a disappointment.

Good service, the front desk lady was very nice and helpful, room seemed to be outdated but still comfortable.

Bathroom was small and shower condiments were not provided unless you go to the front desk to ask about it. They also left what appears to be someone’s leftover shower gel on the sink, I presume they didn’t want it to be wasted, it was a bit unsanitary for us.

Bath towels were a little small. Didn’t fully fit round myself to cover everything when out of the shower.

Nice place and location very good as close to town. It is however quite dated and had to complain about the toilet. Night we checked in, it did not work. Desk person came up to try and fix and worked only once. Not working in morning either. Luckily stayed just the one night and they could not provide a different room. No maintenance on was on sight and she was only person on staff. The convenience store was practically empty. I was told they were full so would think it would be stocked. We were not there during ski season so no bar or restaurant that is otherwise available. Did love the heated pool!

Should have full time maintenance. This was not the weekend but a weeknight. They were also repairing the elevator that didn't work.
