The girl at front desk did not communicate at all. Gave us a room key and was given a one bed room. We were travel as Mother and son. So we had to had to come back downstairs and was told NO other rooms available !!!! I showed her my print out and miraculously she found us a room . Was NOT happy and not even a I’m SORRY ! Clearly she hates her job.

It was clean

There were a few positives. The beds were acceptable, and I appreciated having USB outlets near the bed. I also liked that the bathroom light switch and exhaust fan operated independently.

My stay at the Red Roof Inn was disappointing, especially considering the approximately $250 I paid for two nights. I don't expect luxury or high-end accommodations at that price, but I do expect a reasonably clean, well-maintained room that smells fresh. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The biggest issue was the odor in the room. The rugs looked extremely old and were visibly dirty, and the room had a strong, stale odor that smelled as though people had smoked in it previously. The smell was bad enough to make my eyes water, and after spending time in the room, my nose and sinuses felt congested. The air conditioner also had a strong, musty smell, making the room even more unpleasant. Since the window could not be opened to let in fresh air, there was no easy way to air out the room or escape the odor. The room had several other maintenance issues. The bathroom sink was difficult to use, the blow dryer was broken, there were no towel racks, and the bathroom light flickered. The wallpaper was dirty in places and peeling in others. The refrigerator appeared dented, was not level, and did not fit properly in its space. The microwave's rotating tray was broken as well. However, these minor conveniences did little to offset the overall condition of the room. The elevator had an unpleasant cannabis smell, which added to the impression that the property needed more attention to cleanliness. Overall, the room felt dated, poorly maintained, and inadequately cleaned. While the various maintenance problems were disappointing, the unpleasant odor was the biggest issue because it affected my comfort and made it difficult to enjoy my stay. For approximately $250 for two nights, I expected better. I wasn't looking for anything fancy or high-end. I simply expected a clean, fresh-smelling room with functioning amenities. Being able to breathe comfortably in a clean room is a basic expectation, not a luxury.
