The Standard - East Village

Convenient, clean, comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast options in the cafe!

It was expensive to stay there, but it is NYC and the price was not out of line compared to other hotels in the vicinity. I would love to stay there again but cannot afford to do it very often.

The Standard is a little gem. Super helpful staff, comfortable and well designed rooms, amazing views of the city and a great breakfast menu. Can't wait to go back.

The a standard is right in the middle of Manhattan. Well connected and midway to anywhere in NYC. The cooper square, the west village, Washington square, Ludlow, Nolita, SoHo are all walkable and well connected by bus or subway.Tons of options to shop, eat and drink specially at St. Mark’s place just around the corner. We loved our stay walking and explored the area around on foot. We booked a premier room and we had a higher floor with a view. The room was comfortable and spacious for our long stay. The views were great too thanks to the higher floor. The pool was not operational during our stay but we did workout at Crunch, the gym across that’s free for the hotel guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the cafe is great and we got to meet some nice people. The garden is a sweet place and the hotel is in a historic building. We loved our stay and will definitely come back anytime in NYC.

Amazing staff! Great location.

My shower curtain was moldy in my first room! and I didn’t notice until I went to take a shower my kids later that night. I called the front desk to ask for a new shower curtain. They asked if they could move us to another room. I really didn’t want to move to another room. It was late an me and my 2 kids had a really unpacked, we’d been out all day, so the thought of packing up was exhausting. They couldn’t change the shower curtain that night, so we had to move to another room. The shower curtain in the second room was much cleaner, but there little gnats hanging out along the walls on the curtains and in the bathroom! I killed what I could find, but by this time the kids were disgusted by the shower curtain from the 1st room and scared of the bugs from the 2nd room and just wanted to go home! We searched the room to kill the rest of the bugs, sprayed Lysol, showered again, then set the alarm to hit the road to return home by sunrise! Vowing never to stay there again!
