Grandview Lake Placid

Beautiful hotel, nice location

They don't offer a free breakfast like most hotels.

The breakfast buffet was great. After searching for a breakfast place in town, which took a little while, we decided to eat right at the hotel. Food options were great for the price. Daniela and James are fabulous bartenders! Daniela helped us by suggesting great places to eat, visit etc. She seemed to know much history about the hotel and surrounding areas. James kept us busy with his stories and also his suggestions. They both were constantly working while chatting with everyone. They were a pleasure!

The floor in our room hadn’t been cleaned even after we asked. If bathroom floor or counter hadn’t been cleaned we were almost sure the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed either.

Location was perfect Breakfast buffet was excellent.

I understand renovations were going on but loud construction noise/ drilling started at 7:30am on a Saturday and 8:30 on a Sunday. This woke us up both days. Disappointing I could not sleep in on my vacation.

Fitness center. I have been staying here for years and complaining for a while about broken equipment, nothing has changed.I stay in lake placid often.I would stay at this facility more if this issue was addressed.
