Large rooms, refrigerators in rooms, great breakfast, very large comfortable and well arranged breakfast area.

The room was a little hodgepodge. Seemed like miscellaneous furniture and the nightstand was broken, so none of the plugs near he bed worked. We had to use plugs across the room. So, only a slight inconvenience. Nothing that would stop me from staying again. There was a strong smell of perfumed spray that seemed like they were trying to cover over the smell of cigarettes. It wasn’t too bad though & I am usually sensitive to the smell of cigarettes. So, it was probably an incident rather than a regular thing.

We stay in a lot of hotels, and the Sonesta Essential Vacaville really stood out. It was very clean, the staff was amazing, the room was beautiful and the beds were heavenly! I would consider myself a bed connoisseur. The two queen beds we had in our room were awesome. They were the perfect firmness, not too firm nor too soft. My husband and I slept very soundly. The room had everything I look for. It was well insulated so noise was not a concern whatsoever. The blinds and drapes made the room dark and cozy which allowed us to sleep in. The air condition was superior and the sheets were soft and smelled clean. The only complaint I had, and why I gave it a 9 instead of a 10, was because of the bed’s comforter. While I loved how lofty it was and the weight of it, it was extremely hot. I am someone who likes more layers than just a sheet when they sleep. The comforter would cause me to sweat which would wake me up. It would have been much better if we could have had a lighter layer and taken off the lofty comforter.

Just what I mentioned above, an option for a lighter layer for over the sheet. The comforter was too warm especially for the time of year.

Good location for what I needed. Breakfast was fine.

Unfortunately… the room was not cleaned well.. I found hair everywhere. The bathroom needed maintenance
